RivalRyze Privacy Policy
This Privacy Policy describes how ScrubHub Gaming Inc. and our subsidiaries and affiliates (βRivalRyzeβ, βweβ, βusβ, or βourβ) handle personal information that we collect:
Through our websites and web applications, including rivalryze.com and app.rivalryze.com
Through our Discord applications and bots
Through any other online services that link to this Privacy Policy (collectively, the βServiceβ).
It also covers personal information we collect through our social media pages, marketing activities, live or online events, and other activities described in this Policy.
By using the Service, you agree to the collection, use, and sharing of your information as described in this Privacy Policy.
1. Personal Information We Collect
We collect information about you in three main ways: (a) information you provide to us, (b) information we get from third parties (including game platforms and Discord), and (c) information collected automatically.
1.1 Information you provide to us
Personal information you may provide to us through the Service or otherwise includes:
Contact data β such as your email address, username, or other contact information you choose to provide.
Account & profile data β such as the username and password you set up for your RivalRyze account, your display name, avatar, linked Guilds, and any other information you add to your profile.
Contest & gameplay preferences β such as games youβre interested in, platforms you own, preferred challenge types, and other settings.
Communications β information contained in emails, support requests, Discord DMs to our bot, or other messages you send us.
Marketing data β such as your preferences for receiving marketing communications and details about your engagement with them (opens, clicks, etc.).
Transaction & wallet data β such as the amount of Gems you purchase or earn, your wallet balance, redemptions in the Store, and in some cases limited payment-related information (e.g., transaction IDs from our payment processors).
We do not store full payment card numbers; those are processed by our third-party payment processors.
User-generated content β such as profile pictures, bios, team names, Guild descriptions, chat messages, comments, or any content you upload or generate through the Service, along with associated metadata (timestamps, IDs, etc.).
Event data β if you participate in our playtests, surveys, contests, or events, we may collect information about your responses and participation.
We will use other data not specifically listed here as described in this Privacy Policy or as otherwise disclosed at the time of collection.
1.2 Information from third-party sources
We may combine personal information that you provide with information we obtain from other sources, such as:
Game platforms and publishers β when you link a third-party account (for example Steam, PlayStation Network, Xbox, or other platforms we support), we may receive information such as:
your platform username, profile name, and avatar
your public profile or game library information
your game stats, match history, achievements, trophies, ranks, and similar gameplay data
any other information that the platform or game makes available to us through its APIs and your permissions
Discord β when you authorize our Discord apps or bots, we may receive:
your Discord user ID, username, and avatar
information about the servers (guilds) where our bot is installed, including server IDs, names, and your roles/permissions
message content and interaction data that our bot receives or processes, when necessary to provide the Service (for example, slash command usage, button clicks, challenge participation, etc.)
Public sources β such as publicly available profiles, game leaderboards, esports results, or social media if you interact with us there.
Marketing partners & data providers β such as email or analytics partners that help us understand how users find and use RivalRyze.
Affiliate and referral partners β if you sign up through a referral link, content creator link, or partner promotion, we may receive basic info about the referral event so we can track attribution and rewards.
The information we receive from third parties depends on their policies and your privacy settings with those third parties. You should review the privacy policies of those services to understand how they handle your information.
1.3 Automatic data collection
We, our service providers, and our business partners may automatically log information about you, your computer or mobile device, and your interaction with the Service over time, including:
Device data β such as your IP address, device type, operating system, browser type, settings, unique device identifiers, and approximate region.
Online activity data β such as pages or screens you view, features you use, actions you take (e.g., joining a contest, linking a platform, viewing a Guild), the time and date of your visit, and the time spent on each page or feature.
Log and diagnostic data β such as error logs, crash reports, performance data, and basic information about how our systems are being used, which helps us maintain stability and security.
Location data β if you enable location services on your device or browser, we may receive approximate location information. We do not collect precise GPS-level location unless you explicitly allow it and it is necessary for a specific feature (for example, to comply with geographic eligibility rules for certain contests).
Cookies and similar technologies
Some of our automatic data collection is facilitated by technologies such as:
Cookies β small text files stored on your device to remember your preferences and settings, authenticate you, or track usage.
Local storage β browser-based storage mechanisms that help us persist certain settings and session state.
Web beacons / pixels β small images or code snippets that help us understand how users interact with emails or web pages.
You can control certain cookies through your browser settings and, in some cases, through cookie banners or preference tools we provide.

We may offer features that allow you to invite friends or contacts to use the Service (for example, referral links or βinvite a friendβ tools). If you choose to share someoneβs contact details with us, you represent that you have their permission to do so. We will only use that information to send the requested invitation or communication.
